Massage

My predominant methods of practice are Biodynamic Cranial and Biodynamic Massage. Both invite a deep connection to the health that resides within. With the use of precise pressure, both subtle and deep, the body begins to unwind areas of tension and restore vitality. The result can be a nervous system that feels more relaxed and nourished. The body’s resiliency is supported, pain is diminished, and a deeper sense of wellness can emerge.

I am also certified as a Structural Integration practitioner (Ida Rolf’s work) through Tom Myers Anatomy Trains. Having spent many years studying and practicing fascial release, my hands and joints are able to palpate tissue and listen in order to both feel and hear change.

I have studied many modalities and with many teachers. I find working primarily with Biodynamic Cranial and Biodynamic Massage nourishes the health within the client and allows tension to be freed and reintegrated into the rest of the system. I do not have to practice prescribed techniques because I find that Biodynamic work achieves the same result. I use deep listening and an inner stillness to follow the intelligence and health already operating in the client’s body.

One of my teachers says, “as a yoga teacher and long time practitioner, Lynn has a well cultivated three dimensional sense of the inner body and how it relates to muscle, bone, nerve and organ.”

My desire is to connect to a person’s whole system and help them create change within that system.
